Glycobiology in Immunology and Infectious Diseases

The 11th Georgia Glycoscience Symposium deals with the role of glycans in the microbiome, virology and development of vaccines, and host/pathogen interactions.

The focus of this year’s symposium is broadly in the area of the glycobiology of immunology and infectious diseases, a research area that has seen remarkable growth over the last decade. We have invited world-class speakers who work in three areas:  Microbiome, Virology/Vaccines, and Host/Pathogen Interactions. Through this conference we seek to identify gaps in our understanding, stimulate discussion, and encourage collaboration in this exciting field. We will also provide an opportunity for younger scientists (new investigators, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) working in the areas of immunology and infectious diseases to have a forum to discuss their most recent data.
