How to get there

 

 

Driving from Atlanta to the CCRC

  • Take I-85 north to GA 316 east (exit Lawrenceville/Athens).
  • Continue on GA 316. As you near Athens, look for the sign that says “Oconee Connector”. When driving through the light at this intersection, move into the right lane. This becomes the entrance onto Georgia Loop 10 (signs will say University of Georgia/South Athens).
  • Enter onto the GA Loop 10.
  • Continue on the GA 10 Loop to the College Station Road exit (~5 miles).
  • Take the College Station Road exit and turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
  • Turn right again at the first stoplight onto Riverbend Road.
  • Proceed about 1/4 mile on Riverbend Road. (The road will make a gentle curve to the right then to the left.)
  • Turn left into the CCRC driveway, then continue straight into the rear CCRC parking lot. Follow the sidewalk to the rear entrance, which will be marked with signs.

Alternate route from South Atlanta (Hartsfield Airport) to the CCRC

  • Take I-285 east to I-20.
  • Take I-20 east to GA 138 in Conyers, GA (exit 82).
  • Follow GA 138 northeast to US 78 in Monroe, GA.
  • Continue on US 78 east to GA 316 east.
  • Turn right onto GA 316 east.
  • Continue on GA 316 east to the GA 10 Loop (Athens perimeter bypass).
  • Exit right onto the GA 10 Loop south.
  • Continue on GA 10 Loop for five miles to the College Station Road exit.
  • Take the College Station Road exit and turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
  • Turn right again at the first stoplight onto Riverbend Road.
  • Proceed about 1/4 mile on Riverbend Road. (The road will make a gentle curve to the right then to the left.)
  • Turn left into the CCRC driveway, Parking in the back lot? then immediately right onto the driveway to the main CCRC parking lot. The parking lot driveway runs parallel to Riverbend Road. The CCRC is a large building, partly hidden by trees.
